At Lignite, customer satisfaction is important to us. We aim to ensure that all products delivered meet our quality standards. Since our products are nutraceutical and wellness-related consumables, refunds and returns are handled carefully in the interest of customer safety, hygiene, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

By purchasing from Lignite, you agree to this Refund Policy, along with our Terms of Use and other applicable policies.

1. Refund Window

Customers may request a refund or return within 14 days from the date of delivery of the product.

Requests raised after the 14-day period may not be eligible for a refund, return, or replacement, except where required under applicable law.

2. Refund Eligibility

A refund may be considered only if:

  • the refund request is submitted within 14 days of delivery;
  • the product is received back by Lignite Formulations;
  • the returned product is inspected and examined by our team;
  • the claim is found valid under this policy.

Refunds will be initiated only after the returned product has been received and properly examined by Lignite Formulations.

Submission of a refund request does not automatically guarantee approval of a refund.

3. Eligible Cases for Refund / Return / Replacement

Subject to verification, customers may be eligible for a refund, replacement, or other appropriate resolution in the following cases:

a. Damaged Product

If the product is delivered in a physically damaged condition.

b. Wrong Product Delivered

If the delivered product does not match the item ordered.

c. Missing Item / Incomplete Order

If an item is missing from the order, subject to order and shipment verification.

d. Expired Product

If the product delivered is expired at the time of delivery.

e. Defective Packaging

If the package is tampered with, leaking, or otherwise materially compromised upon delivery.

f. Quality Issue Verified by Lignite

If there is a genuine quality issue confirmed after internal review and examination.

4. Non-Eligible Cases

For safety, hygiene, and regulatory reasons, refunds/returns may not be accepted in the following cases:

  • product has been used, consumed, opened, or tampered with, unless the return is due to a verified damage, defect, wrong item, or other approved issue;
  • dissatisfaction based on taste, flavor, smell, texture, or personal preference;
  • change of mind after purchase;
  • incorrect usage, improper storage, or failure to follow product instructions;
  • adverse results caused by combining the product with other medicines, supplements, or substances;
  • allergic reactions, sensitivities, or individual body responses, except where required by law;
  • products purchased during special promotions, clearance sales, or marked as non-returnable/non-refundable, unless damaged, defective, expired, or incorrectly delivered;
  • requests made after 14 days from delivery;
  • products returned without proof of purchase, invoice, or required supporting evidence, where requested;
  • minor packaging variations, label updates, or batch-to-batch differences that do not affect product quality.

5. Conditions for Return

To process a return or refund request, customers may be required to provide:

  • order number;
  • proof of purchase;
  • clear photos or videos of the product, packaging, and issue complained of;
  • batch number, manufacturing date, and expiry date where available;
  • a brief description of the issue.

Where a return is approved, the customer must send back the product in the condition instructed by Lignite Formulations, including original packaging, labels, invoice copy, inserts, and any complimentary items received with the order, where applicable.

Failure to provide sufficient information or return the product in the requested manner may result in rejection of the refund claim.

6. Inspection and Approval Process

Once the returned product is received, Lignite Formulations will examine and inspect the product to determine whether the refund, replacement, store credit, or rejection is appropriate.

Lignite reserves the right to:

  • verify the authenticity of the claim;
  • inspect product condition, seal integrity, packaging, and batch details;
  • investigate possible misuse, fraudulent claims, or repeated refund abuse;
  • deny claims that do not meet this policy.

The decision of Lignite Formulations after examination shall be final, subject to applicable consumer rights under law.

7. Refund Method

If the refund is approved, the refund will generally be processed to the original mode of payment used at the time of purchase, unless otherwise required by law or mutually agreed.

Where the original payment method is unavailable, restricted, or unsupported, Lignite may offer:

  • store credit;
  • wallet refund;
  • bank transfer; or
  • another reasonable refund method.

8. Refund Timeline

Once the returned product is received and the claim is approved after examination, the refund will be initiated within [7–10 business days].

Please note that the time taken for the refunded amount to reflect in the customer’s account may depend on the payment provider, bank, card network, or platform used.

9. Return Shipping

If the return is due to:

  • wrong product delivered,
  • damaged product,
  • expired product,
  • defective or tampered product, or
  • any verified error attributable to Lignite,

then return shipping may be arranged or reimbursed by Lignite, at its discretion and subject to prior approval.

In all other approved cases, return shipping charges may be borne by the customer, unless otherwise stated.

Lignite reserves the right to reject reimbursement claims for shipping costs incurred without prior authorization.

10. Orders Refused or Undeliverable

If an order is refused by the customer at delivery, or cannot be delivered due to incorrect address, unavailability, or failure to accept delivery, refund eligibility will be assessed after the product is returned to Lignite and after deduction of applicable shipping, handling, return-to-origin, convenience, or platform charges, where legally permitted.

No refund may be issued if the product is not returned to Lignite by the logistics provider or if the product is returned in damaged or tampered condition due to customer-caused reasons.

11. Cancellation vs Refund

Orders may be cancelled only before dispatch, subject to order status and system processing.

Once an order has been shipped or delivered, it will be governed by this Refund Policy and not by the cancellation policy.

12. Health and Product Disclaimer

Lignite products are nutraceutical and wellness products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease unless specifically stated in compliance with applicable law.

Customers are advised to read product labels, ingredients, directions for use, allergen warnings, storage instructions, and medical advisories before consumption. Customers should consult a qualified healthcare professional before use if they are pregnant, nursing, under medication, have allergies, or have any medical condition.

Refund requests based solely on subjective health outcomes, body response, or lack of expected personal results may not be eligible, except where required under applicable law.

13. Fraud Prevention and Abuse

To protect customers and the business, Lignite Formulations reserves the right to refuse refunds or returns where it reasonably believes that:

  • the claim is fraudulent;
  • the product has been intentionally damaged;
  • false, misleading, or incomplete information has been provided;
  • there is repeated misuse of the refund policy;
  • the product returned is different from the product shipped;
  • seals, labels, batch codes, or packaging have been altered.

Lignite may maintain appropriate records of refund claims for audit, legal, compliance, and fraud-prevention purposes, in accordance with applicable law and its Privacy Policy.

14. Limited Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lignite Formulations shall not be liable for:

  • indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses;
  • dissatisfaction based on individual taste or preference;
  • delays caused by banks, payment gateways, courier partners, or force majeure events;
  • misuse, improper storage, unauthorized resale, or use contrary to instructions.

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights available under applicable law.
